Show prospects in vacant fundraiser portfolios as assigned

Currently, people who are assigned to a vacant fundraiser portfolio show up as unassigned in Targeter. Could this be changed so they show up as assigned and FPM picks up any of the vacant portfolios as real portfolios and not placeholder portfolios?

This is confusing for someone to look in our CRM and see the person is assigned and then in FPM and there’s no assigned fundraiser. Even if they’re in a vacant portfolio, that denotes that someone was and will be cultivating them, which is vital info to know for other fundraisers who might want to reach out. Sometimes it takes months for a vacant position to be filled and the prospect would show up as "unassigned" for that whole time.
